Thinkpad X220 FHD Modification.

If I have a LP125WF1 , I can install this lcd on thinkpad X220. But there is no method to get this lcd.

As you know or not, LP125WF1 interface is a 2lane edP ( Embedded display port , edp pins are assig

ned to i3,i5,i7 CPU). The interface of thinkpad X220 is a LVDS. For installation, we need a edp .

When I take look at X220 schematic, there is a edp interface.But there is a one lane edp interface.

( As though there is a 2-lane edp interface, bios modification is required. If you don't modify bios,

there is no backlight turn on and no PWM signal ( Brightness control). When edp interface is activated as LFP ( local flat panel), there is a backlight control and pwm control signal.

In future, When I have a LP125WF1 , I will post it .

It's lucky that x220's BIOS is editable, not like x230 series
The lcd is quite easy to find on taobao
